’The Process’
This is a behind-the-scenes look at how we create the screens we use for printing our clothing. The process starts with preparing the screens themselves, which form the foundation of everything we make. Each screen is coated with a smooth layer of water-based emulsion and then placed in a dark room to dry for up to 48 hours, ensuring the emulsion cures evenly and is ready for exposure.
Once the screens are fully cured, we move on to burning the design. First, the design is printed onto transfer paper and carefully lined up on the screen. Then, we expose it to a powerful light for about a minute, which hardens the emulsion everywhere except where the design sits. After rinsing the screen with water, the design is revealed, leaving a crisp stencil ready for printing.
This is just the first stage in the full process of bringing our clothing to life, and it’s where art truly begins to merge with craft.
